Logra Coaning — AI Interactive Learning Unit on Difficult Conversations
An AI interactive learning unit built for Logra's Coaning framework: hook, core teaching, side-by-side leader comparison, Gottman's four destructive patterns with antidotes, live roleplay with Sarah, and a 48-hour application commitment that hooks back to coaching.
Watch the Demo
The full interactive demo built for Erwin. Click through chapters, speak or type in the roleplay, and watch how the AI evaluates your responses in real time.
Project Overview
Erwin Peter at Logra is launching Coaning, a 5-stage leadership development framework that combines 360-degree assessments with structured AI learning units and human coaching. He needed a demo learning unit built from his own input documents to show prospects what the finished product looks like.
The brief: take the topic Handling Difficult Conversations, follow the 10-beat Coaning learning-unit structure (hook, outcome, core idea, example, interactive element, application, simulation, personal plan, coaching hook, reinforcement trigger), and ship a 5-10 minute AI interactive video that drives behavior change inside 48 hours.
Learners open with a relatable leadership scenario, get the Think-Feel-Do framework, watch a side-by-side comparison of an effective vs ineffective leader (open, mid-flow, close), learn Gottman's four destructive patterns with their antidotes, then roleplay with Sarah: a direct report who is missing deadlines. They speak or type their response, the AI evaluates tone and listening, and they close with a written 48-hour commitment plus a coaching hook for the next session.
The whole unit was built in one week from Erwin's briefing documents (Difficult Conversations input, Coaning briefing, Logra PPT template). The avatar can be swapped for a real photo of Erwin or a team member, the unit supports German alongside English, and it can be iframe-embedded directly on the Logra site.
What's Inside
Hook + outcome statement
Opens with a leadership scenario, names the three concrete shifts the learner will leave with.
Core idea
Communication is not what you said, it is what the other person actually heard.
Think, Feel, Do framework
Lock three intentions in writing before opening any difficult conversation.
Effective vs ineffective leader
Same conversation, two leaders. Three moves (open, mid-flow, close) make the difference.
Gottman's four patterns + antidotes
Criticism, Contempt, Defensiveness, Stonewalling, with how to neutralize each.
Live roleplay with Sarah
The learner practices the difficult conversation with voice or text. AI evaluates tone, listening, and structure.
48-hour commitment
Every learner leaves with one specific behavior, a date, and a written check-in.
Coaching hook
Notes for the next coaching session, so the AI unit feeds straight back into Coaning's human coaching layer.
What the Client Provided
- Learning Unit Input (Difficult Conversations) - source content document
- Coaning Learning Unit Briefing - the 10-beat structure every unit follows
- Logra brand template (colors, typography) for visual alignment
- Two iteration calls (May 26 and May 27) to refine pacing, avatar style, and crowding on slides
Design and Build Process
Read the input + briefing
Started from Erwin's two source documents. Pulled the 10-beat Coaning structure as the spine, kept the core content (Gottman's patterns, 48-hour commitment, coaching hook) as the load-bearing teach.
First pass with Nessa AI
Fed the briefing into Nessa, generated chapter-by-chapter speaking notes, picked an avatar style, ran the first end-to-end render. Took two iteration rounds to land the right balance of constrained vs creative.
Side-by-side leader visualization
Wrote the open, mid-flow, close comparison so both leaders use the same words on different beats. This made the difference between effective and ineffective visible in three moves.
Roleplay with Sarah
Built the live AI roleplay: scripted Sarah's opener, gave her three to four likely directions she might take depending on the learner's response, and wired the AI to evaluate tone and listening behaviors.
Iterate on Erwin's feedback
After the May 27 walkthrough: switch two AI-narrated scenarios to pre-recorded video (Veo 3.1 fast), declutter the busy slides, and add the option for learners to upload a real photo as the avatar.
Tools and Stack
